mlk speaker at randolph

Peggy Wallace Kennedy came to Randolph and told us her story of growing up in Alabama at the time of the civil rights movement. She described her personal life and told stories about how her family did not talk to her about their reasons for racism in that time. She also said that she used the opportunity with her son to explain to him why racism is wrong and do for him what her father never did for her. Today, there is limited racism in Alabama which is a huge change from the way it was during her time growing up.
